I would wholeheartedly recommend Handworks to anyone needing occupational hand therapy in the NJ/NY metro area! They are conveniently located in Saddle Brook, N.J (southern Bergen County) but well worth the drive even if you live farther away. Handworks is an extremely well-run office operated by two incredibly skilled, compassionate, genuine, and generous professionals: Sally, a seasoned occupational therapist (her technical knowledge and skill is top-notch!); and Kathy, the office manager (she’s a gem!). I have never seen two people work so well together. Sally and Kathy impressively provide professional, high-quality services to their patients while fostering a warm, comfortable and “happy” environment that quite honestly, makes everyone feel at home. They are flexible and reasonable with respect to scheduling/payment/insurance matters and really go the extra mile to care for their patients because they are passionate about what they do! This is true of their care for my son, who has been treating with Sally for about 6 months, and true for the care I have witnessed on an almost weekly basis for their other patients, young and old. Not only has my son gained the consistent individual care needed to properly treat his injury….the improvement in mobility and smoothness of his scar is incredible….but my whole family has gained two friends. Thank you, Sally and Kathy, for your loving care and always going above and beyond!!

THE BEST O/T IN NNJ! My daughter has been going to HandWorks for nearly a year now due to a muscle condition in her hand. We had previously visited other facilities but once we visited HandWorks it was obvious to me that they had the rare ability to combine technical expertise, personable and pleasant individuals combined with a very reasonable insurance reimbursement policy. Sally, who is involved and oversees all of the therapy sessions is Ivy league trained and is incredibly knowledgable but very approachable and eager to explain her techniques and goals with the client. Kathy is responsible for the administration and assists in operations. Its a small, well run office, which I like. I like the fact that there is continuity of care, in nearly a year, my daughter has only dealt with Sally and Kathy. I just feel like my daughter is in very good hands (pardon the pun).

I cut my finger and created nerve damage. Being new to the area and not even having a doctor I had to go through emergency services. I was very lucky that I found my way to HandWorks Hand Therapy. I researched several places and would have had to spend a lot of money on consultation fees or additional materials. HandWorks was the best place for giving me straight answers and working within the means of my insurance provider, making therapy affordable.
Sally and Kathy were very hospitable, informative and trustworthy. Going to physical therapy is a lot of work and often may seem like a chore, not at HandWorks. I always looked forward to my visits. This is important because I found myself working to the best of my ability and felt that I was able to reach my goals rather quickly. It was easy to create a schedule and although it was a bit out of the way for me, it was completly worth it. I am very grateful for my experience at HandWorks.
