I highly recommend Hands on Health. As a result of a back injury from work, a dear friend of mine suggested that I make an appointment with Dr. Karen Monstein. Upon asking what he thought of Hands on Health, his response was:
"I love Hands on Health. The lady, who runs it, Karen, is fantastic. She also teaches Physical Therapy which says a lot about her knowledge. I have to say I am not very big on leaving reviews but it would be unfair to others suffering not share my experience. When I arrived for my first appointment, I couldn't push a door open or pull it closed, sit comfortably in a chair, complete simple physical tasks and could barely turn my head while driving. I actually couldn't hold a cup of coffee without feeling pain in my neck." I was very skeptical at this point if anything would work for me. I even started questioning if I would ever be able to fully work again. I expected on my first visit, to basically just receive an evaluation and a series of appointments for treatment. Dr. Karen Monstein, or "Karen" asked me a series of questions, not from a list or while checking off a typical form, she actually had a conversation with me and seemed to genuinely care. I immediately felt relieved, like I would finally receive some help. I was stunned that Dr, Monstein treated me that very day. I never remember going to a physical therapist and not just getting the typical evaluation on the first visit. I walked out of the office that day finally feeling pain relief and could actually turn my head! I was so thankful and overwhelmed at the level of care that I received. After just a few visits, I feel almost completely recovered. It just didn't seem possible. I would not hesitate to go back to Dr. Karen Monstein or recommend Hands on Health of Lynbrook to anyone. From the moment you walk in, the receptionists, physical therapists and overall "feel" of the office is truly one like no other. Upon thanking my friend for his recommendation and telling him how great I was doing, his response:
"That is wonderful to hear !!!!! And she is AWESOME !!!!! It is so nice to walk in and know the person there knows how you felt the last time, what is wrong with you and how to keep on treating .....
