I had a very nice room on the top (6th) floor with a good view of the river (hence Riverview). The room itself was nice, and had a very nice bathroom. The hotel offered breakfast and had a bar open at night. The staff was very accommodating as I needed to get into the room early and check-out a bit late, but they gave me no issues. Overall, a very nice hotel for the short stay.

Great location, very friendly staff, great looking facility! Very clean! Great view of the rather gross looking Passaic River and the slums of Newark on the other side. Quiet! Was able to get a good and full night's sleep after a long day of driving. Price was right but that 15% tax was unexpected. Budget accordingly! Breakfast goods seemed par for the course, cereals, eggs, sausage, bagels, a DIY waffle station that was being used/abused by seemingly orphaned children, some fruit, yogurt, muffins, and a selection of coffee, hot water, and fruit "drank" (as I'm sure at one point prior to reaching my cup, the fruit juices were in powder form). CNN on the lounge/breakfast dining area TV with a volume level set 2 points above intolerable. I remember watching this hotel being built and I am happy to see how nice it looks inside and out. The "covered" garage has good clearance but you may want to reconsider the mini-van or anything larger unless you're okay with 400 point turns to park/exit the garage. Walking distance to the Harrison night life and restaurants, if that's your thing. Bring your own water! The place appears to be sponsored by Coca-Cola! Dasani is disgusting and glancing at the flowing brown river of liter will make you think hard about tap water! Room was great (402), although I was near a stairwell or something because every time the fire door was opened, my door would shift and it almost seemed like something was pushing on the door. A bit nerve wracking when you were mirroring your phone to the TV (thanks to available HDMI port and self provided cabling) and streaming The Walking Dead and suddenly the door shudders! In room refrigerator was nice, but off by default. Had to wait a bit for storing leftovers after figuring out how to turn it on (set the temperature setting higher than 0). I get its for saving power, but perhaps when a guest books the room, the refrigerator could be pre-cooled for their pending arrival. Not a huge issue, but more of a heads up! Looking forward to my next stay!

Most racist hotel I've ever been in. They judge everyone by their looks... The staff don't seem really focus on their work, they get distracted by their own social media lifes. They assume situations so they can get more money. One time I spend the night there but they kicked me out for no good reason and I didn't stayed there for 10 min, they were already assuming things by my looks at the main office. This is a bad hotel, not only they stole my money, they ruined my boyfriend's birthday too.

Where do I start,.... The staff is makes a STAY.... I can't rave enough about the STAFF I want to say Chris Lowe he was AMAZING.. He had a smile that would light any sky and his personality MATCHED this GUY should have a PLAUQUE for employee of the YEAR,. .. My wife and I were there for 9 DAYS in Sept.. she was scheduled for surgery, We did not want to pay NYC prices for 9 days.... I did my homework and settled for Hampton Inn and Suites and I so happy that I did!
From the moment the doors opened the staff the was pleasant and very FRIENDLY, The hotel itself was very very clean and fresh, it was not perfect but a good stay. The neighborhood a bit questionable, but I felt safe in the hotel. I parked in the covered garage most nights. THE PARKING WAS FREEEEEEEE.The view of the city from my room was very nice the SUNSETS were the best,, The sunset RIGHT behind the stadium , I did not mind hearing the rumble of the NJ transit. We walked along the river and across the bridge into the downtown area, and we felt safe. The breakfast was average but fresh and hot. Staying there for 9 days I was concerned about my laundry, there was a on site laundry... WHAT! and it was only $1.00 for the washer and dryer... Here is the best part the suites has a JACUZZI BATH TUB, I used it every day.... The bathroom was very spacious..The JACUZZI tub THOUGH..... Now lets talk about the comfort of the BED.... OMG... you don't want to ever GET out of the BED.....all down pillows all 6 of them that was on the bed.....There was a 32 inch LG flat screen TV... a sofa bed, a nice size chair and ottoman, with desk and desk chair, the most special part was that there was a outlet that housed every device that I had. We had a total of 3 computers with 2 other devices and the room was equipped with the OUTLET that housed all of our devices.. now in our world today that is MAJOR. If you are looking for a nice comfortable hotel to stay then HAMPTON INN HOTEL & SUITES is your place to stay. I will that I was not prepared for a swim but if I had been, it would have been great the pool is closed in, there was also a handicap lift. When I bought my wife back from the hospital, I took a chance to ask if there was a wheel chair available and to my suprise there was..... can you believe that!.. I can say a bit more but I will stop here, I think that I have painted a pretty clear picture. I have made our reservations for Dec already.... I hope this helps...... Christopher Lowe you ROCK and thank you so much, you were the best!
