Hamilton Park

Excellent size and scale occupying 2 city blocks by 2 city blocks with a gazebo in the center and bricked paths from all sides and corners.

Separate small and large dog runs, 2 tennis courts, 1 basketball court, and 2 kids playgrounds with a separate water playground (small).

Many, many events held here like June has ParkFest, Juna-a-Paloooza and September has annual BBQ fest. Summer has monthly movies screened in the park and Shakespeare in the Park brought to everyone by the Hamilton Park Neighborhood Association.

Lastly, Summer thru December has Wednesday farmers markets.

Who could ask for more out of a park this sized?

This park is the reason we moved in to this neighborhood. It always has people around, be it having a picnic on the lawns, playing basketball, reading near the fountains or with their dogs at the dog park (of which they have two!)

Wonderful atmosphere, clean and has something for everyone. An AMAZING place if you have kids or a dog. They also have wonderful little shops across the street by the tennis courts. Hound about town is a personal favorite!

Jersey city puts a lot of effort in to their community activities and you see it a lot here. There has been a bbq festival, dog festival and every week there is a farmers market. Out of all the park in the downtown area, this is by far the best.

I love this park nestled in the cozy Hamilton park neighbourhood. It has a play area for kids, 2 tennis courts, a basketball court and a doggy play area too. Besides this there is plenty of open space for kids to play. They often have events like movie screenings and a weekly farmers market. An added attraction is the Citi bike parking which has been installed here

Lovely park with lots of shade !

This park used to be a complete getto just like Jersey City used to be. But now it has gotten so much better I was very surprised! I regret not buying a property near the park when it was full of low lives! Great for parents with kids... great for hanging out on the weekends... love it!
