Unbeatable soups. Perfect antidote to a chilly dreary NYC day. Just had Butternut Squash for lunch today - Highly recommend!

They give you free samples, and when we went, the employees were very friendly and helpful. Really liked their sweet corn chowder!

I've loved Hale & Hearty's salads from other locations and while this salad was the best in the neighborhood, it just didn't win me over. Lettuce was a bit sad (read: wilted) and the ingredients were so carefully measured with tiny spoons that I had to search for my peppers.

As far as midtown lunches are concerned, Hale & Hearty notches in as a tad expensive. But few meals are as filling and satisfying as their Soup and Sandwich combo. And with dozens of soups and sandwiches to mix and match, the combinations ratchet into the hundreds.
They also really know how to hustle a lunch line.
