I have been going to OUMOU for over 15 years now, she is the best hair braider and flat twist stylist, there is no competition. During the 15 years of knowing OUMOU she has always shown professionalism, grace and charm towards all her customers. Her workers are very pleasant and carter to your needs. Whenever I get my hair done at her shop, I am always leaving with there satisfied and happy. I would recommend anyone to come to OUMOU shop, trust me it is a great experience. While at OUMOU shop they make u feel like family. I give OUMOU shop a rating of excellent in expertise. ;D)

What an amazing experience! I made an appointment after seeing the quality of their work online. The owner, Oumou (lovely woman) agreed to see me on July 4th - a holiday! From the time I got into the door, Sam the host approached me and directed me through the clean, pleasant, well-lit salon to the stylist Rein (spelling?). She greeted me BY NAME! This was my first time. Following a short consult about the hairstyle and desired hair texture, she began working on my kinky twist. I had three questions, the answers of which told me that I was in the right place. Do you accept major credit cards? They don’t but they have an ATM machine right in the salon – how convenient! How much will this cost me? The pricing was great! Will you please not do my hair tight, as that has caused breakage in the past? She braided my hair neatly, and firmly but not at all tight – no headache, patting my head with cold water to loosen it, or taking out the offending braids. The owner even offered me authentic African food, which I graciously declined because I had my heart set on world famous soul food restaurant, Amy Ruth’s just down the block! You can’t beat Design by Oumou for location, convenience, fair pricing, great service and best of all, I walked out, in good time, feeling, and looking like the diva I am! They totally got it right. My hair is set for the summer!
