Hair Cult

I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while now. I had the pleasure of having my hair done by Jenny back in mid July. It was my first time at Hair Cult. I’ve walked by the salon multiple times and simply peeking through the front windows you can get a feel for the cool yet relaxed atmosphere. The interesting metal scorpion art piece out front was the first thing that caught my attention; the second was the shelves of Aveda bottles proudly displaying their products. I am new to the area from upstate New York. I was expecting to find overly priced services and arrogant attitudes – and I was pleasantly surprised to find just the opposite. Yes well, the prices aren’t exactly “cheap” but you do get what you pay for – high quality Aveda products along with a well-knowledgeable and skilled staff. Also the prices were comparable to what I have paid back home.
Aside from the reasonable pricing, I was completely won over by my stylist Jenny. She was everything you look for in a stylist - approachable, friendly, knew her products, and wore her own hair in a way that looked simple yet perfect at the same time. Jenny took my impossibly vague request of having my highlights look “naturally subtle but also really super blonde” and gave me the perfect shade for summer. I can admit, I am not always the easiest client because I never truly know what I want and I can never explain it clearly, but she was able to give me a cut and color that was just what I was looking for. Andrea who washed my hair was delightful; she gave me a relaxing scalp massage that left me feeling completely relaxed. Over all I loved it here, the salon reached far above my expectations – to top it all off I was given a free sample of fancy lotion in a cute little bag just because it was my first time there! From the moment I entered and was greeted by the fluffy shop dog Leche to the moment I walked out with my beautiful new haircut it was a really great experience. I recommend this salon to anyone looking for salon that offers great products and a wonderful staff.

Salons don't get much better than Hair Cult. Stylists & staff are top notch. I struggled when I first moved back to NJ. trying to find a salon I could call home with disastrous results before I found Laurie and Hair Cult. I wouldn't go any place else, this is the best salon in North Jersey! I love this place

As usual Jenny does a great job with my cut and my highlights... Love my hair have no complaints.

Beautiful salon with great, friendly staff. Lindsay is a top notch stylist who does amazing work! I highly recommend both her and Hair Cult, along with Marma Day Spa where Carmen does wonderful facials and massages!

I love Hair Cult!! I've been going there for years and it's always a pleasurable relaxing experience. The atmosphere is peaceful, friendly and very accommodating. Upon my arrival I am always greeted with a smile. The smell in the salon... AMAZING!! After a longs days work I look forward to a cortadito coffee and a relaxing shampoo/scalp massage from Laurie's assist Rosario. Laurie does a great job with my highlights and balancing the color tones in my hair. I always get compliments about my hair color and everyone asks who does my hair. I love the full line of AVEDA products readily available at all times. It's a one stop hair shop for all you beauty needs.
