H-Mart

This is one of the best H-marts in Queens. They normally do free samples throughout the day (which is genius cause I always get suckered into buying the product). The ladies working here are all adorable and the staff in general are nice, I've never had an issue with them. Things can get a bit pricey depending on what you buy but the sales offset that.

Regarding the comment below "con: they don't have halal" I don't really see how it's a con when it's a Korean supermarket and halal is not a staple in their culture. That's like going to an ice cream place and saying "con: they don't have cookies"

Tips:
- Come during the morning and afternoon for samples!
- Visit the area towards the back entrance cashiers, you'll find red bean filled fish cakes freshly made $6 for 5

better parking

The place in general is good place to shop. Clean and have many varieties, especially if you are looking for Korean and Asian food. They also have organic food, which is great.

Pros:
1. Clean,
2. Fresh food,
3. Organic fruits and vegetables,
4. Generally friendly staff especially the women cashiers

Cons:
1. The men cashier, especially the old man is racist and rude (he needs to realize he is in the USA not Korea!!!) ...
2. The prices are OK but can be expensive compared to BJs and Traders Joe.
3. They keep the crabs in an open container and they are alive ... they are all in one small container all suffocating and cant move :( ... I understand they want to show customers that the crabs are alive, but come on guys .. have some heart!!! Keep those crabs inside and give them more space to move.
4. No halal food here

Their vegetables and meat are very fresh and of good quality!

I love this place so much better than the place on Northern. This place even has a dining section with freshly prepared cheap Korean food. And they are not racist like the other Northern Blvd one. You can read my other experience there in my other review haha. But anyway, I love the fact that this place is spacious and makes it so much easier to shop for groceries. The selection of meat is amazing! I often like to just come for the food that is right off to the side of the place after you enter from the parking lot side. Food is so good and always so filling.
