Great building, best value in Jersey City. Have lived here 6 years no problems at all, property value here keeps going up. Take a look at the comps would not be selling so well if it wasn't quality.

While the location is nice, the building itself is quite poor and cheap construction. Don't be mislead by "expensive" appliances as their value decreases due to construction quality ranging from thick external walls and poor windows to uneven walls/ceilings/power outlets and really thick unit entrance doors (transparent to any sounds).
Cold air is coming easily through the window and through the power outlets on external walls. Impossible to sit next to window in winter time.
No screen nets - beware of mosquito in summer.
Quite a high electric bills.
Move-in/out schedule can happen to be really big inconvenience.
AVOID the north side of building especially if you're on a lower floor... otherwise you'll be enjoying smell of chemicals coming from ventilation pipe of their newly opened dry cleaning facing 225 grand.

The building is pretty nice and the doormen are awesome--especially Jose and Bishoy.
My main problem is with the management company: My roommate moved into this building six months before I did and was the one to sign the lease. I moved in with him six months later, but was never officially on the lease. We never had any complaints, treated the place respectfully, were friends with the doormen, and were legitimately good tenants.
When it came time to move out we were informed that we couldn't move out on the weekend because (due to a lack of foresight in the building design) the freight elevator is the only elevator that services about 30 apartments in the building and they can't strand those people on the weekends. EVERYONE has to waste a day of vacation and take off work when they move in and out. A huge inconvenience and disappointment to myself and others. I developed a relatively simple solution that would have worked just fine, but when I proposed it to the building's management I was given the below response:
"...you are NOT even on a lease and therefore my conversation about this with you will end with this email..
We deal with owners first and then with residents on the lease second. We definitely don't have to explain or even deal with people that aren't on the lease and therefore the date has been discussed with [your roommate] and if we have to it will be with the homeowners as well.."
Clearly an unreasonable response for a conversation that had been polite up until this point. Management was not willing to discuss a possible solution that would improve EVERYONE'S moving experience simply for the fact that I wasn't on the lease. Now, to be clear, there was never a question of whether or not that I resided in the building as they all know me. It was just a matter of a management company that tolerates a bad design that inconveniences EVERYONE in the building and not being willing to take simple steps to improve.
A management that is complacent with bad service is a cardinal sin when running a business and this company committed. I would look elsewhere as there are several nice buildings in town for a similar price range.
