Huge store with a basement full of pianos and differ studios for different guitars. Worth the trip just to see and hear everything!

Although this place is above average in size , it lacks in customer service. Some employees really care, like the guitar repair department , audio, acoustic guitars, and the platinum guitar section. And some are like magicians, they disappear on you. If I don't find my favorite employees on the floor after about 5 minutes, I just go to another Guitar Centers. It's only a short subway ride away to 44 street or 46 street in Queens.This place could be a lot better with more employees providing better service. It's a guitar players dream in terms of selection thou. I'm not an expert, but I've been to 6 Guitar Centers......

I was trying to restring my Godin hollow body guitar (bought from GC) and called three different stores and no one could help me. I took all the strings off at once and because it's a suspension bridge I wasn't 100% how to position it with the new strings. No websites offered close enough pics for me to tell. I called this store and Elijah gave me super helpful and friendly help over the phone. He took initiative by looking at another hollow body model and was able to answer all 3 of my questions. Thanks to him I'll spend the afternoon recording music instead of figuring out how to put my guitar back to gather again. Thanks, Elijah!
