Grid Iron Waffle Shop

The food has never been bad (not that it's anything too special either), but the service is consistently pretty poor. It seems as though the entire wait staff is terribly angry at the world, not to mention that they are also pretty inattentive. Our waitress last time never checked on us and we had to continuously ask her to come over so we could get some more coffee or water.

First time there the food was great, the tea was so hot it burned my mouth, but on the other hand I really enjoyed my breakfast!!

This place is awesome! Foods great I ordered the Essex panini It was great and came with a small salad left there really full lol. Next time I go there I'm definitely going to try their waffles.

Had a cinnamon waffle and two over easy eggs. The eggs were fine but the waffle was undercooked. Don't usually like to complain so I sat through it since it was just one waffle until it started to hurt my stomach. Told the waitress who asked for another one, until 10
minutes later with no waffle still, I had to ask since I had an Uber waiting outside. Apparently the decision was made that my undercooked waffle wasn't worth replacing since I had eaten more than half of it. Which I get, I tried to be reasonable at first, but if you're not going to serve fully cooked food to your patrons, the least you could do is apologize and not have me waiting to hear a peep.

I guess since I had already paid I ceased to exist. I think we all know a business doesn't really have to do anything once the money is in hand, but good businesses and competent managers recognize that a little sacrifice is a good way to establish a customer base. Won't be returning, and maybe that's better for all involved.

Great little independent cafe. The food tastes fresh and although you may wait a while, made to order. It's small so gets crowded but as we all know the best places are the ones you wait for!! Service is ok, but I don't go there to be stroked, I go for the great food!

I passed the other day and saw they had some upcoming renovations so I asked about it. They are investing in a ventilation system to handle the increased volume of production. I have to say thats a good thing. There sugar waffles make the irons smoke a little. It wasn't horrible but it was noticeable. The investment shows they care and are trying and I guess that's all we can ask for right?
