I have known Gregg for over 35 years, and can vouch for his knowledge, and his honesty. If I had my own shop, I would do my own work. I don't. I sent my daughter to Gregg. If you have children, you understand what I just said. You would have to be lucky to do as well ...
... I doubt that you could do better! (Chris too, both knowledgeable and meticulous!)

As other reviewers have said, Gregg is, above all, about quality of work, honesty, and fair pricing. If it doesn't make sense to repair something (e.g., on an older vehicle), he'll tell you. If it takes him a little longer than estimated for a particular job (as it did in replacing rotors on my Acura recently), he won't sock you with exorbitant extra labor costs. He also stands behind his work, and has maybe the best mechanic on Long Island, Chris, to do the toughest jobs.
This is my experience across maybe 10 years and as many cars that we've brought to him (all five of us in the house have cars).

honest and caring mechanic. usually when I've taken my car to a shop they just check the car with the computer or pop the hood but Greg actually went and drove it around the block to hear and get a feel for my vehicle. you can tell cars and fixing them is his passion. He fixed my issue and months later its still good. i will be making him my permanent mechanic and referring him to my friends and family.

I have been bringing my car here for three years. All of the work has been done well for very reasonable prices. Perhaps most importantly, Gregg and Chris have been perfectly honest in every transaction. I have referred friends to them and they have also been treated well. I highly recommend this business.

My husband brought his 18 year old "new to us" car here. This shop was honest about the full repair we could do and even referred us to another place that could do a patch that would be less expensive and could likely hold a while. They saved us a lot of money and have secured our business and referral for future work, so it will be returned to them with lots of future business. THAT'S how a good business is run. Glad places like this are still around. I highly recommend them!!
