If you're looking for some deliciously cooked chicken, then look no further than Green Leaf. They might be a bit expensive for a run-of-the-mill asian place, but let me tell you, they really know how to steam their chicken well. Highly recommended.

Not one thing was average. Sushi was barely edible. Not even close to fresh, might have honestly been over a week old. They served pad thai with a severely dried out lime. The noodles were old and obviously sitting for a while. I don't mind eating subpar food but at least serve food that can be eaten without triggering gag reflex.

I don't make it out to Long Island all that often, except when I'm passing through en route to Fire Island, or if I'm visiting a friend's family. A few of us stumbled across Green Leaf on our way to see a buddy's parents near Port Washington. (Well, we found it on the Yelp app and went a little out of our way, because we were craving some yummy Chinese food). It was worth it.
Between the four of us, we decided to just order a few items and share. Partly because we're indecisive, partly because we like so many kinds of Chinese options, and partly because we were just starving and everything sounded good at the time. We went with the spring rolls and vegetable dumplings. An easy winner. Then a couple of us got soups and salads -- the Tom Kah Kai (spicy) and Kaek Green Salad. Then the fun began. We ordered a couple noodle dishes (the Pad Thai -- a safe choice, but super delicious -- and the Pad See Eaw), a couple curries (Pineapple Curry Shrimp and Green Curry), and the Spicy Basil Chicken. The food was all-around delicious, large portions, and affordable.
Don't know when I'll return to the Port Washington area, but if and when I do, I'll have to take a detour and get my Chinese fix here again.

I find a lot of places that say they do sushi, thai,. chinese and japanese are often full of it. It seems like they all try to do everything and nothing is better than mediocre, but this place is the EXCEPTION!
I always measure Asian restaurants on their Pad Thai, and this place passes with flying colors, they kind of set the bar for any other thai I will have from now on....and I don't live in Port Washington so it's going to be a while till I get it again, luckily my Aunt does, though visiting her is never a fun experience, until now.
If you care about atmosphere, this one is relaxed, and very family friendly. The type of place my mother was so intrigued by (she wouldn't stop talking about the floral decorations in the dining room).
Great service, friendly waiters who can explain what the food is to my rather un explorative aforementioned aunt, who doesn't know the difference between Thai and a Tie and quite affordable too, the check was only $48 for the three of us after dinner!
If you're like me and ever crave a sushi roll with your pad thai, check this place out. If you are a fan of curry, their Red Curry (My mom got it with chicken) is delicious! Luckily my mom gets full fast so I was able to finish her meal too. Generally rice is rice, but GreenLeaf's is fresh and sticky, just the way it should be. I can't say enough good things about this place, you should really just go to their, and bring me home some leftovers....please!!!!
