Great Neck Medical Group: Schuval Barry Jay DO

Dr. Schuval is a dedicated, caring doc - he has been my doctor for a few years and when he moved to PRO HEALTH - I wasn't happy but I decided to stay with him and I'm glad I did. He listens patiently to all my complaints.....he's the best ~~~

PROS The Dr. is very nice and so are the nurses. Dr. Schuval listens when I speak to him and doesn't rush me out of his office. He did however walk out on me for 5 minutes because his cell phone rang. The waiting room has lots of space for all those who wait.
CONS I do find most of the girls in the front rude, they are young.
I have also been in the waiting room and the receptionist yelled at the patient on the phone telling him that the Dr. didn't have time for him at the moment and had to call another time. That happened to be an emergency phone call because after yelling she said that she was sorry and did not know he was having chest pains. One time I was there, one of the girls was yelling at the delivery man from the Chinese restaurant because she said he had a snotty face on. So yell at the poor man in the lobby in front of everyone? Very unprofessional.
The Dr. takes over two weeks, to respond to blood work results. For example, I took a blood test, 2 1/2 weeks later I called to find out my results and his receptionist told me to stop all my meds immediately. You tell me that 2 and 1/2 weeks later after I call? What if I did not call? The late blood tests responce was not once, twice, but three times. There are too many patients for him to handle. Another time the blood test results took over 2 weeks becaue he said he did nothave the correct phone number, he did however have my address, how about a letter? I had to call for those results as well.
