My husband didn't know that he had almost complete blockage of his main arteries in his heart when he was transferred from the ER at St. John's hospital in Yonkers to Columbia on a Sunday afternoon. Dr. Gray came in and performed emergency heart catheterization and in less than an hour saved his life.
After that he came out and spoke with me and my husband's daughter and explained to us in lay terms what just happened. He was so kind in his way, relaying the severity of the situation while at the same time giving us great confidence. Then he helped us find our way to the cardiac care unit where my husband was awake, alert and feeling much better after several days of experiencing heart congestion without knowing it. Thank you, Dr. Gray, we can't thank you enough.
