Discovered it while staying at son's apartment nearby and decided to order a cheap Chinese take-out. What a pleasant surprise! Have been there several times since and it has become our standby restaurant of choice, and it's not because of the price range, which is very reasonable, it's for the great tasting food.
The service has always been up to snuff. The decor is OK. But thank god for their small plate option. We order a variety of things and share and invariably get to take the leftovers home. At home the next day they even taste better!
The only item which is odd is their scallion pancake which is dry and very thin, it's not bad, just different.
The good stuff: do not ignore the veggies, chinese broccoli, bok choy, both pumpkin items (amazing!) and the potato vinegar.
Must have their dan dan noodles and the fish and sour cabbage soup (unique)!
Poultry, go for the one with green and red peppers and the chong qing.
Get the pork with the scallions and the lamb with the spicy cumin flavor. Seafood dish of choice has gotta be the salt and pepper dish with whatever you like. Apparently this is a chain but this review is only about this particular one.

The food tasted great and the portions were unusually generous for a Manhattan restaurant.

Great food. Just moved to this area and I tried a few other Chinese joints. Nothing comes close to this place, the food is always amazing. My new go to Chinese spot!

The lunch deal can't be beat! For real Chinese food, get that sichuan fire into you! Be prepared to sweat though. For real.
