Grand Central Terminal

Go to Grand Central Terminal and just EXPERIENCE IT!! The energy, the hurried pace, the beauty of the architecture, the vast expanse of the building, the incredible maze of trains coming and going. Grand Central Terminal is an incredible hub inside of a city that itself is a hub of beautiful insane busy-ness! Go to the open deck at the Apple Store they have there, pick a spot, and just watch people!! Fascinating in all aspects and well worth a visit!

Grand Central is the double whammy: a great tourist destination with beautiful architecture, and an efficient transportation hub. A must see for people visiting New York. Anyone that has the privilege of commuting through here would be able to tell you that it knocks the socks off of Penn Station on the east side (not a tourist destination!!), but for 90% of commuters there is no choice between the two at this time.

GCT is also a great place to eat! Plenty of options, from pizza to Shake Shack (always packed), or from Indian to Chinese. Very disappointed that Two Boots is no longer there however!

The LIRR extension construction is not bothersome; the MTA keeps it well sequestered to one or two regions of GCT at any given time. Will be very exciting when it opens, despite being many years away.
