Golftec Woodbridge

I started using golftec in woodbridge/metuchen since 2013 and it has changed my game so much. The tools and techniques they use to teach you is very different than any other places i had been before.
Great team of staff too: Nick, brendan, ryan and brian def know what they are doing. Go there and talk to them, you wont be disappointed.

I've been taking lessons from Brian at Golftec for about five years. I started as a 60 year old novice: I had sold my business and wanted to play golf with friends. Brian helped me build a swing, learn golf tactics and strategy, learn how to putt and chip, and get a good golf attitude. He is a great teacher. I've gone from someone who had never played before to now shooting in the high 80's. Low rounds in the low 80's. My game is very consistent, with Brian's help, my bad shots are not so bad, so I am rarely in trouble. And I hit many good shots.

Aside from the great coaching, there are three things which set Golftec apart: First, the bays are equipped with cameras which record every shot, and show the result on a realistic course layout. So you can see flight path, trajectory, distance. You can also replay your swing, so you can see what you do when you hit it well and when you hit it poorly. Second, you can practice year round. This is especially good when you want to review a weak part of your game. I spent one winter with Brian just practicing chips inside, it really helped my game. Third, they do club fittings. I was custom fitted, with Brian and the manufacturer rep's help, with a new nice set of Ping irons, now my irons are higher and softer and much more controlled.

I have been working with my swing coach/instructor Ryan L for a little less than a year. An outstanding professional and extremely knowledgeable instructor. I provided Ryan with a great challenge to help improve my game. Faced with limitations from a serious back injury, Ryan was confident that he could improve my game and mechanics without causing harm to my back. Actually, my poor mechanics prior to coming to Ryan, were causing me more of a problem. Ryan has been patient and persistent with me, as he had a vision of how my swing should look at each plateau of learning. I promised commitment, he promised positive results.

Ryan has come through with flying colors. My game and confidence has improved dramatically. I am determined to get to a competitive ability in my game and in less than a year, Ryan has made that possible. We still have some work to do, but I wouldn't want to go to any other coach at this point and time.

The facility in Woodbridge is new to me. Previously, I was working with my coach at East Brunswick. EB was fine, although I had nothing to really compare it too. Ryan had moved to the Woodbridge location and there was never a question or doubt that I would follow him there to continue my coaching. The Woodbridge location has an additional bay and has a quieter, more focused "feel" to it. I am glad that we are working together at Woodbridge. In addition to the 40 lessons that I purchased in March, I recently also decided to purchase the Practice offer from GolfTec. I now have a single place to get great instruction and a place to practice during NJ's cold months.

I am very happy with GolfTEC and Ryan L, who is a top instructor in my opinion.
