Have always bought and LOVED Gold's Hot Horse Raddish BUT...
Have you changed your definition of Hot? The last several times I purchased your horse raddish it has been tasty but not, by any stretch, hot.

Gold's Horseradish with Beets.
Their quality control sucks. This last jar we purchased was really blah. It had no kick. The previous jar we purchased knocked you socks off. It was great. But is seems every other jar that we buy has no kick. I really think that the powers that be at Gold's don't really give a damn. We have written to them on a couple of occasions but the did not respond. They don't care. If they did, they would respond. Hopefully I can find another supplier of horseradish.

If I wanted to buy a jar of burgundy water, I could have done that from my sink and added food coloring. I had to strain out the tiny pieces of beets and then dump the minute amount of all the beet material into one bowl. Even then, I couldn't taste the beets because there were so few. Had to add seasoning and cucumbers, just to have some taste and texture.

bought gold's unsalted borscht. no salt. no anything else. jar had watery red liquid plus shredded beets filling less than one fourth of jar. silly me for thinking gold's stood for quality, should have examined jar more carefully. i added potato, cucumber. can on beets and onion and garlic. that was borscht! elaine abrams schechter.
