DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!
The first year I lived here I starting getting sick. Cluster headaches, sinus infections, sneezing etc. I spent lots of money going to doctors, and they could not find anything wrong. I found out that there was mold inside of my duct-wor. Apparently Glenwood does not see a need to ever have them cleaned. Maintenance came in and vacuumed them out which is something I had already done.I was told after that, there is nothing else that can be done
There are no assigned parking spaces, for your specific apartment. The area where Glenwood is located is very shady at night. I received a letter last year to keep an eye out as a residents car was stolen. Needless to say my vehicle was hit key'd while I was sleeping.
When you move in you need to sign a contract on weather or not to allow maintenance to enter your apartment without your permission. I signed not to allow. However they still enter your apartment without permission.
During the fall, no one attempts to clean the leaves or any debris from the trees. The steps leading to my apartment were full of leaves and I almost fell several times.

I've been living in Glenwood Apartments now for a little over 4 years, it has been an excellent experience in a great location mostly in part to the leasing agent Jeanmarie. From the moment I called Glenwood to inquire about their apartments till now she has provided me with amazing, fast service in a kindhearted, trustworthy way for all my questions and concerns. Besides Jeanmarie, the staff in the maintenance department is always fast and courteous with any and all of my apartment fixes and issues.

Had a great experience working with Jean-Marie. Moving from Brooklyn, NY, back to New Jersey was the right decision for us. Finding an apartment that fit our budget and lifestyle was difficult, until we came to see what Glenwood Apts had to offer. At our first meeting with Jean-Marie we were shown all the units and she even gave us a tour of the development. We got a chance to talk with a few of the long time residents and enjoyed the family friendly atmosphere. After making our decision to move to Glenwood, Jean-Marie kept us updated with phone calls and texts. The transition went as smooth as could be. Love it here! Thank you Jean-Marie!!!

First, I just want to say that I’m elated that the nightmare is over. Glenwood apartments are one of the worst run Complex I’ve ever experience. On top of being the dirtiest (common grounds) and having poorly kept apartments, It has one the worst group of management individuals I’ve ever dealt with. They are completely rude and disrespectful (starting with Maintenance manager).
I’m only going to list the cons as there are no pros. Let’s start with Bedbugs which I paid out of pocket to get rectified (took about 1 year). Downstairs and next door neighbor cigarette smoke coming in my apartments from all angles and despite complaints, it never stopped. Parking is horrible with families of 6-10 people in one apartment. Old appliances, strayed cats everywhere, dirty and expensive pool entrance fee, Rent hikes every single year, dirty sidewalks and common areas, dog crap everywhere, poorly maintained complex period.
2 months prior to my lease, I was also threatened by the main office that legal proceeding will be commenced against me if I don’t leave on the exact lease expiration date. They tried very hard to get me to sign a new lease because I was planning to leave 1 month after my lease. I was told I had to sign and later break the lease and pay a $2,000 fee for breaking the lease. I was wise enough to contact an attorney and get the facts.
I finally moved (out of state), approximately 35 days later, I received my security deposit with $180.00 deducted. $150 for turning in the wrong keys (bold face lie). I gave them the same key they gave me (still on the ring holder with the address tag on it) because I never took it off the ring. I got copies made and place it in my safe from the start of my lease till the day I moved. So basically, I was taken for $150. And mind you, they had copies that they used to come in the apartment if need be and to let me in the few times I locked myself out of the apartment ($10 charge each time I locked myself out).
Why couldn’t they just make a $2 copy of the key they already had instead of taking $150? Really, how crazy is that. Now they took $150 from me and will use the old door lock because they have keys for it anyways. I was also charged $30 for a regular $4 blind that I used for 6 years. I get charged but they put new blind’s anyways on every new leased apartment.
Please stay away from Glenwood if you want to live a decent quality of life. You will be glad you did.

Very well-managed apartments in a decent neighborhood. We rented a two-bedroom apartment there and honesty it felt like we had a small house; two full bathrooms, large rooms with roomy closets, central air conditioning and heating with local control (each apartment has a separate programmable thermostat). There was always plenty of room for parking. The complex has easy access to most stores via route 9. Easy commute to Rutgers. Easy commute to NYC. NJtransit bus stop within walking distance. Pool and playgrounds for kids. If you're looking for a classy upgrade from where you're living now, check out Glenwood!!
