Gibraltar Van Lines

Gibraltar Van Lines moved my family from NJ to Chicago.

6 guys loaded the truck.

3 unloaded it, and I had to help move my belongings from an elevator to our apartment.

Since had a 3 hour elevator time limit which I told them weeks in advance, Bill (the owner/driver) spent more time asking me if I wanted him to call other guys for me, and pay an additional $2-3K than starting the move in.

I refused.

The move cost ~$9K and I asked for a discount and Bill refused, and insulted me saying he should have charged me more.

I would never recommend this company.
*As an aside, I thought we had reserved the truck just for us, i.e. $9K, and instead, he planked another person's stuff above my belongings, and then drove to Maine and then to Illinois. one of the workers told me the truck broke down in Maine, so they were lucky to make it to IL.

WE RECENTLY MOVED INTO OUR DREAM HOME IN NORTH CALDWELL, NJ. A FRIEND OF OURS RECOMMENDED GIBRALTAR VAN LINES, INC. . THEY DID A SUPERB JOB OF MOVING OUR THINGS, AND REALLY TOOK CARE NOT TO MARK UP OUR NEW HARDWOOD FLOORS - WHICH WAS SO IMPORTANT TO US. THE MOVE WENT OFF WITHOUT A HITCH, WE WERE SO RELIEVED. THE CREW WAS SO NICE AND REALLY DID A WONDERFUL JOB.
