Reviews to Giardino - By Russo's on the Bay
Chef Michael Competiello is a miracle worker! The most amazing and delicious peppers, brick oven pizzas, best shrimp oreganata I ever had, most delicious tagliatelle marinara perhaps better than my own Grandmother's! Down to earth cooking, and I cannot rave enough about the food! Giardino's is a great place for parties, special celebrations, even a romantic dinner for two. The food is better than most five star restaurants I have been to whether in the City, in Italy, France, or anywhere else on earth. My hat's off to Frank Russo and your very talented team who go above board for their guests! Fantastic service. Delicious specialty drinks! Excellent wine selection! And the accordion player was a nice added touch to an amazing evening. Respectfully and sincerely, Michael Coratolo

it has a very nice atmosphere, old world style. I had Mamma's Sunday sauce with some heat, was out of this world. Everyone else enjoyed also. Got a nice house Chianti, great time and food."

We've only had good experiences here. One time they had to seat my wife and I next to a large party so they gave us complimentary drinks, oysters on the half shell and dessert.

- Very Good #87530
Quite good. We have been there three times so far. We have really enjoyed the food. On two occasions, we had some problems with the food, but the manager or owner Jaime is really attentive. My wife didn't like one dish, so he (Jaime) had the dish exchanged without extra charge. There is a free valet parking lot next to the restaurant so parking is never an issue. The staff is friendly and polite. The food is on the pricier side (e.g. about $80 for two people including drinks and tip, not dessert) and their choice of menu (number of dishes) is slightly limited. The ambience is great, but when the place is busy (and it usually is) it can be a little hard to hear your company. Overall we really like Giradino's and intend to keep going back.
