Came in with my boyfriend at the time to fill out an application. It was a good location in relation to NJTransit, and decent apartment for the money. We filled out an application a couple months before moving in. We came in a month later to finalize our application. We were then told that they lost our application. No biggie. We filled out another one.
Moved in. A couple months into living there, both my boyfriend and I were hit with Identitiy Theft. All the applications had one thing in common: the address. So the identity thief was using both our SSN's to apply for stuff.
What was the ONLY piece of document that my boyfriend and I had together that shared our SSN's? our General Greene Apartment applications. That were "lost".
We came back to the office of the apartments to see if there was anything they knew about the situation. We discovered that ALL of the staff that were there just a few months back were gone and replace. ALL OF THE STAFF. There was no one there that we knew back when we applied for the apartment.
Until this day, even with all our information locked and protected, we are still battling with identity theft. Of course there is no way to prove that it was General Greene Village, but hey, you add up the clues.
Oh and there's silver fish in the kitchen and bathrooms.
