The current manager is a wolf in sheep's clothing. It's a great area to live in if you like the convenience of hopping on a train to NYC, but the manager is a thorn on the rose.
Also, the rent increases by 4% every year, so tenants get penalized for being steady and faithful residents.
The quality of service, too, has declined since I've lived here. There is an amenities fee we tenants are charged, but it seems to befit the manager, tacky and in poor taste.
I can't wait to leave.

It's really great place to live. Very close to NY (30-40 min from here to Penn station and it takes less than 5 min from the apartment to the South Orange station platform). The surroundings are very nice, and neighbohood is good. Pool and amenities are also great. I feel like living in a resort.
But, they force the residents to use an internet service which is the worst service I have ever experienced. Now, it's downloading speed is 113 kb/s. It's like 10 or 15 years ago! I really hate the internet service here and no other option is unacceptable.

Advertised included Internet connection is of extremely poor quality. Disconnects all the time.

I lived there for a couple of years and while it was great at the beginning, the service levels dropped off considerably over time to where the level of service became substandard. There are still parties and well maintained grounds, etc, but the overall quality fo the experience was not comparable when I left to what it had been when I first moved in there. There were staff rotations in the meantime, service provider changes, etc - but whatever the reason, I did not regret moving on.
