Garden State Power Equipment

Came in for a lawn mower that was shuddering after hitting a rock. They quickly took a look and recommended that I get a new lawn mower. The bent crank shaft in their opinion was not worth the cost in parts and labor when I could get a new machine for almost the same amount. I appreciate their honesty and quick professional opinion. Would definitely recommend them.

So after reading all the reviews left for Garden State Power Equipment i was skeptic in using Ernie's services but being a local business owner i understand how hard it is to please everyone and how it is even harder to deal with people who have no real clue what they are talking about even when they swear they do.....

At the end of the day i am extremely happy i gave them a shot. Its very rare to get a repaired item back in better condition then new. Ever since i bought my mower it has always started on the 2nd pull guaranteed by the company. Well after having Ernie service my mower it starts on the first pull every time. Not to mention he got my mower back to me in less then 24 hours. Was his price higher then some others YUP but he is also not some guy doing this on the side out of his home garage. Was it worth every penny YUP!!!!. Ernie you were great man thanks for the help and the great service!!! Will definitely be using you again.

In response to Kenneth Campbell review it was a tecumseh engine which the company has been out of business for quite sometime I gave him a price for an original carburetor for his machine I do not put Chinese aftermarket crap on my customers machines unless original ones are not available. Plus I stand behind my parts will the internet do that for him??
Go buy the Chinese crap see how it works for you!!

He bought in a Billy goat walk behind 33" mower that needed a clutch for the blades that connects right to the crankshaft of the motor.
My distributors do not carry parts for such an off brand mower so i gave him the option to call the manufacture and get the part himself obviously to save him some $$$.
He ordered the part and it did not line up with the bracket the mower has on it.
Had to take mower deck and engine off to replace the clutch.(I have pics to prove it)
Called him to tell him that it looked like the wrong one to come pic part up and call where he got it
Had to put everything back together for it to even move.
Turns out that the manufacture has modified the bracket for it (my question is why didn't they tell him that when he ordered it) they sent him a new bracket for it and it lined up perfect.
Called Raymond to tell him it was done and did not hear from him for 2 weeks called again on a Saturday and his wife answered and explained to her that it has been sitting in my shop for 2 weeks and I charge storage fee if equipment is left longer then 5 days.
Needless to say I did not charge a storage fee.
He was nice as pie when he picked it up never said anything about being disappointed.
Turns out after a little research its his bitter wife posting to several companies they deal with.

Brought my snowblower here and they tell me it is going to cost 100 just for a carburetor. I see online aftermarket carbs for my machine under 20 bucks. Now since my snowblower is very old and not valuable why would they try to mark up the price 5x of its value? I am fine with paying for labor but I hate when places charge extra for parts. I wouldn't had a problem an extra 10 bucks or so. But charge 80 more is rip off

WORSE REPAIR CENTER EVER!!!! STAY AWAY YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF!!!! Brought our mower there which he made us purchase the parts for. We purchased the part and then he said it was the wrong part. Come to find out after we call the manufacturer that it was the correct part but he didnt know that. We bring the part back to him AGAIN!!! and he repairs it charges us over $300 after he gave us a different price and then threatens us that he could of charged us storage, even though the first time he told us that he didnt take AMEX the 2nd time we tried to pick it up he was closed and finally on the 3 pickup he was there and charged us more $$$. He is a rip off and when he called to tell us that the mower was ready on a Saturday we were away for the weekend and he got an attitude and hung up on us.
