Hi, My name is Susan DeAngelo, and I am 3 weeks post surgery as of tomorrow! , I need to say, that I can't say enough good things about Dr. Bilof and his staff! And the surgery, wow! I have lost 21 lbs already and looking forward to loosing a lot more!. I will say, that I was very sick for a few days, but after that was under control, I felt great! Very little pain considering what you go through! The Dr.s and staff were there for me the whole way through this, from my first visit up until now and the future! Everyone who dealt with me, was professional and kind! They all treated me with gentleness and respect, and were very concerned for how I was feeling. You know how some Doctors just want to get you out of the hospital fast, well, being as sick to my stomach as I was, they never pushed me, they made sure I was ok before they let me go home. That made me feel better just knowing they cared that much. I have to also tell you I was suffering from Diabetes and high blood pressure, one of the main reasons for the surgery was, my Diabetes was out of control no matter how much insulin they put me on, or how I watched what I was eating. I am very pleased, happy and proud to say that I am NO LONGER ON INSULIN!!!! As I lose the weight my sugar will go down more and more. I have not been on insulin for over 2 weeks now! My primary care physician is so impressed with the progress I am already making as well. I was very depressed and had given up hope when I went to see Dr. Biloff, I was just gaining and gaining weight and I didn't understand why because I really did follow the Dr.s orders for eating. He let me know it was the Insulin causing the weight gain, by the time I left his office, I was jumping up and down for joy! He told me with my surgery, that I would be off the insulin and I would lose all the weight as well! Not many people get a 2nd chance at a healthy, happy life! Dr. Bilof and staff did just that for me. I now have a 2nd chance at life and a happy, healthy one at that. If you are ever considering any weight loss surgery, Dr. Bilof is the man to see! If you are looking for an easy way out, this is not it, it takes work and following the directions, its not always easy, but I know the reward at the end. I will tell you this was so worth it, and I will tell people who want to know all about it. I thank Dr. Bilof and his entire staff for being so wonderful and helping me change my life! With out them I would still be sitting in my house hiding from the world and being depressed and hopeless, but now, I see changes in my body happening and wow, what a wonderful feeling that is!
