I've been going to Garden City OB/GYN (Dr. Sherwin) for nearly 20 years. He's an excellent doctor with a fantastic bedside manner. The office staff is great too. Over the years I've never had any insurance issues, or copay issues or long wait times. I've NEVER waited more than 20-25 minutes. As far as medication goes, its called in to the pharmacy while you're still in the office so that by the time you get there its ready. You cant get more convenient than that! I've also been to Dr. Plancher who is equally excellent. I highly recommend this practice.

You have to come in every 6 months rather than every year to receive birth control pills. Also, if you have an evening appointment, for 6:00 p.m. for example, you will wait 1.5 hours to see your doctor. I have heard from others that it is necessary to make an appointment to receive medical test results (suggesting that they are looking for every excuse to receive another copay). The doctors themselves are good, but I will be switching to another provider as soon as it is feasible.
