They have the fluffiest and lightest sponge cakes and birthday cakes ! Can't get enough of the soft and eggy flavor in their cakes. If you ever stop by, you must try their sponge cakes.

Gaoming has the best coffee on 8th avenue! No doubt! Their coffee rivals the best of coffee from those fancy shops that specialize in coffee, but for a lot cheaper. Their steamed buns are also the best on 8th avenue... and not just a little better. They blow the doors of their competition. My favorite steamed bun is the Dai Bow (big bun) which is loaded with vegetable, ground pork, Chinese sausage, and a hard boiled egg. It truly is a full breakfast packed into a soft steamy bun and all for a dollar. You can't beat their prices (which is cheaper than the other chain-style bakeries on the higher numbered streets on 8th ave) and the quality of their food surpasses others as well. If you live or work in the area, or even if you are a few blocks away, hop on up to 51st street and hit up Gaoming for some of the best Chinese coffee in Brooklyn's Chinatown. -The Bak Gui Guy
