Galanga

We went here for dinner and ordered five different entrees, two appetizers and a side of toasted brown rice. The entrees were a hit or miss. The penang curry and the thin vermicelli clay pot were pretty good while the wok-stir-fries were not very memorable. The appetizers (crispy tofu and corn fritters) were good but again, nothing extraordinary. The side of toasted brown rice was surprisingly flavourful. The Thai tea was cloyingly sweet. You would be better off ordering the green or jasmine tea. Overall an okay place to go for dinner. It can get ridiculously loud at busy times.

Sadly not what i expected it to be. Very slow service (took them 17 minutes to get me my 1 drink) received the wrong dish as an entree (which the waitress seemed to be annoyed about) and they forgot my appetizer. When we notified her that we would just skip the appetizer and just get the correct entree - she became very annoyed and told us to wait 5 more minutes for the appetizer to come. At this point, we had waited for 35 minutes and have not received any of the food yet. We decided to walk out but would of stayed if ONLY they would have simply appologized for the wait - yet they only seemed annoyed for their own mistakes. Seriously dissapointed. Do yourself a favor and go to Mcdonalds if youre expecting better service :)

Great place! Tasty food, nice atmosphere, good prices for the quality of food, good music playing, sexy women working there and friendly. I recommend it. A hidden gem.
