Had a really great experience here. Service was great and I like that I could sit on and feel each futon as opposed to the guess work of ordering online. The futon we ultimately chose had a manufacturing defect and was replaced in a timely manner with no questions asked. I would definitely shop here again.

The staff was helpful and friendly in assisting us. However, when it came to talking price, they were very obstinate. If you shop around online you will find the same quality frames ( even in oakwood) and same quality mattress for a better price and free delivery. So I would say, do ample research before buying here. They are overpriced by 75 to 100 bucks for the same quality and delivery you will get elsewhere.

- Terrible #12932
If it weren't for the bad customer service, I would give this store a higher rating. But the man lost his temper on the phone over a futon order that was delayed. No matter what the reason for the delay, you have to inform customers about the status of their order, especially after the money has already been charged. And these people didn't think it was worth their while to do that. If they took a step back and evaluated their own behavior and adjusted their tone, I would recommend this store. But as it is, I'm very disappointed by the way they handled my order. If the customer complains, let the customer complain. An employee shouldn't argue back and try to make excuses. How difficult would it be for them to just say, "We're sorry about the delay."

The Fairfield store didn't even notify us that we couldn't pick up the futon we ordered. They already charged us the money for the futon. They didn't call to inform us the futon hadn't arrived or that the futon store was closed due to flooding. They didn't let us know anything, and I kept on leaving messages on their answering machine every day for four days until someone finally got back to us. Then he treated us with a bad attitude, like it was my fault the roads were blocked and that he didn't give us any kind of notification whatsoever despite the fact that the money was charged and we hadn't received the product. In the end, we had to pick up the futon from a store in Paramus located much farther away from our home than the Fairfield store. It was an inconvenience all around.

The man I spoke to was crude and temperamental. His behavior was disgusting, and he even made claims at some point that he didn't work at the futon store. He was just answering messages, whatever that means. At any rate, they just downright refused to apologize for any inconvenience they caused. They refused to acknowledge responsibility for not returning our calls and letting us know about our order.

Honestly, save yourself the hassle and purchase your futon somewhere else. The way these employees act, you would think they were the only futon retailer in the whole world.
