Great for groups in the summer. The service is surprisingly good for such a large / chaotic place. The views and scene are great, but don't expect good food or fancy drinks. Just a great place to hang

Great in summer. If you're in a big group or attacking during the popular drinking hours then get organised to avoid waiting in a line for ages. Good food, decent drinks and a great place to watch the sunset. Not really a date spot but great place to hang out with friends. Occasionally they have fashion shows and the like hosted within

Beer on a barge! What's not to like? Definitely a must-do NYC experience for a sunny summer Thursday or Friday. Get there early afternoon if possible (it gets BUSY), grab a bucket of beers and fries, and camp out for awhile and take in the scene. Bring sunscreen and shades! Dinged one star for long wait times at peak business hours.

My favorite way to spend a lazy afternoon / happy hour session with friends. In the summer they have cover bands on certain days. A pitcher of sangria is great for groups. Food is excellent also.

Great view of the Hudson River and lively too! Beer is a little pricey at $7 a pint. Quick, efficient service. Can get crowded during the weekends (expect a 10 minute wait to enter). As for the crowd, they tend to be (apparently) 21-35 years of age. Think of it as "Dorrian's on the Hudson" but without the requirement for collared shirts after 7pm.
