Weekends are the best in this place! Get your lechon fix... what? you dont know what a lechon is? It's a roasted whole pig!
You can get the lechon either by the pound or as a "meal special" where some 8 bucks gets you some lechon, white rice and a can of soda.
This place is my go-to for home cooked meals, as the food is cafeteria style so you can see exactly what you are getting before they scoop some onto your plate.
When you see some innocent looking rolls on the counter, ask if it is the Ube pastel. These "innocent rolls" are stuffed with ube inside and they cost 50 cents each. Mmm.

There are quite a few places for Filipino food on Roosevelt but when you are craving something fast and don’t have the time to sit down, Fritzie’s is your answer! You can get fresh pan de sal and food from the steam tables. Bbq sticks? Chicken adobo? Lumpia sariwa? Most items with rice cost about $4. What a steal and a taste of home.

I used to buy bread and filipino dishes at fritzie's after my work at 7pm but I noticed now a days that some of the employees are smoking in front of the store. Its really disgusting especially for those non smoker customers like me.
