They say that hindsight is 20/20.
As I watch in amazement the development of our 3 and 4 year old's writing, math, linguistic, analytical and social skills, not one day goes by that we don't think about how Foundations Prep was the right school and choice for us out of many we visited in the area over two years ago.
The school is good, balanced, structured, popular and often times with a waiting list. Parents from as far as West Orange and Little Falls bring their kids to this school. Unfortunately, sometimes being popular, can be a detriment to any business and Foundations Prep was not immune. "Was" being the operative word.
In the two years that we've been sending our kids there, the school has definitely experienced some growing pains, which probably reflects some of the negative reviews that you will find around the web. Yet, in the midst of it all, its founders Cassie & Lauren have never stopped listening, caring or thinking of ways to improve and enrich the children's educational experience. From Jolly Phonics to Singapore Math; Writing Without Tears to Mandarin there is no shortage of cutting edge educational systems that work at FPS.
With a new Executive Director (Ms. Katy) on board and several new teachers, the school is once again on track and humming. We experience it firsthand daily when talking to our kids. There is always something new that they weren't doing before. This week our 4 year old has just started recognizing, reading and writing words and our 3 year old is adding.
Hindsight is indeed 20/20!
