Forest Hills Pediatric Group

I just wanted to let future mommies or current mommies to know the way I was treated at Forest Hills Pediatrics today. I dropped off immunization forms on 2/18 to be filled out. I paid the $20 ($10 per form) and was told that my forms would be ready in one week. I go today (3/2) to pick them up and they were not ready. The envelope with forms were still rubber banded around my kids' medical records. They simply forgot to fill out the forms. Now I understand that we are all human and mistakes happen, but medical practices are still businesses, and business have to exemplify good customer service. Joyce, the person in charge of filling the forms, would not take responsibility for her mistake. Instead of apologizing to me, she proceeded to berate me. In front of a half full room of patients, she yells, "I only have two people filling out forms, what do you expect?!!" What do I expect? I expect that when I pay for a service and you say the said service will be ready in a week, that it will be ready in one week. And most definitely, it should be ready and collecting dust in two weeks time! When I pointed at the wall of completed forms that were done and asked how long those forms took to get done, she told me to mind my own business!! WTF!! Lady! What did I do wrong? Why are you yelling at me? What Joyce should have done was 1) recognize and apologize for her mistake, 2) immediately start working on my forms 3) offer to apply some type of refund to compensate me. I was going to pick up my forms today as well as make an appointment for my daughter's wellness exam. No way was I going to make an appointment and stay after the way I was treated. The pediatrician at FH Peds are good. Are they extraordinary? No, I don't believe they are, but at the same time I have been blessed with fairly healthy children who don't have extraordinary problems. I refuse to be reprimanded for a crime I didn't commit. I expect my doctor and my kids' doctors to have offices that are staffed with kind and professional people. I am a little disappointed and sad to leave the practice but I refuse to be treated the way I was treated today. For the doctors there to allow someone like that to work there also makes me wonder about what kind of people they are. I left a message with Peggy, the office manager. I wonder if she will contact me and make it right. But I already started the process and I'm leaving the practice and taking my kids' health and my business somewhere else. And now I'm putting them on blast.

Love the staff and it's always a 1,2,3 visit...to the doctors!

Dr. Neumann is a great doctor but he retired on March 2015. That was so sad. Dr. Beer replaced me from Dr. Neumann. Dr. Beer is also a great doctor.

Dr Kim is the best pediatrician. He is very knowledgable and caring. He was recommended to me by a friend and I never regretted that Iaed him our family pediatrician

Dr. Gocs has been my pediatrician for well over 15 years now. I have nothing but good things to say about her. Her professionalism and bedside manners are exceptional. She always put my mind at ease and addresses any questionsor concerns I may have immediately.

The only unfavorable factor that I would say is the new answering/telephone system that has been implemented. I'm very displeased to have to go through an answering service to make appointments, it was much easier to call the office directly and have the personnel there answer my questions and make my appointments. To have go to through a third party for these things is very inconvenient and a waste of time. I've had to follow up on several occasions on answers to simple questions that would have taken less than two minutes to have answered had I been able to communicate with the staff at the office.
