Friendly, knowledgeable, reasonable and they speak clear proper English. Dr. Luger is a pro. The fact that he's successfully focused on cats for many years makes him a great choice to care for your pal. I'm glad I found him! He helped my new Pixie Bob with a little diarrhea and gave him a thorough checkup.

I was referred to the Forest Hills Cat Hospital by a co-worker. Some years later, in 2006 another one of my cats, who was 12 years old, developed kidney disease and was being treated successfully for that when about a year later she developed heart disease. The treatments for kidney disease and heart disease are completely at odds - for kidney disease you add fluids and for heart disease, you remove fluids. The two conditions together are very difficult to treat. She then needed multiple pills and a complicated dosing regimen. It took a couple of months to stabilize her and at times I was in daily contact with Dr. Luger. He gave his all to my cat despite the fact that her prognosis was utimately poor. So did the rest of his staff when I had to board her during a brief vacation. I have nothing but the highest respect for Dr. Luger and his staff.
