Forest Hills Bagels

Been here more than a dozen times. Their bagels and cream cheeses are good. Not sure if the staff can't hear well or have trouble remember the orders but more than a few times, whenever I order more than one items. Either they forget to toast the bagel, gave you the wrong bagel or the wrong cream cheese; They seemed to always get something wrong.

Bagels are decent, but they don't make their own schmear or lox. Just the standard acme brand that you can find anywhere out of a giant jug. It's not bad, just not what I was expecting after being recommended the place. It's a bit hard to get in from Queens Boulevard, especially if navigating the road on foot. They were playing some 80s electro when I went in that gave it a classic NY vibe. It's good if you are in the neighborhood but wouldn't go out of my way to go here.

I have been coming here on and off for the past couple of years. I say " off" because its nearby to where I live but sort of out the way. I like coming here and enjoying a nice breakfast, as I did this fine April morning prior to starting the work day. This place has a parking lot , so save your quarters.
Upon entering FHB, especially for breakfast , anytime between 8-9am, which are usually my time zones, expect a line to the door. Yes, people, its that serious and that busy. But no worries, the line moves quite briskly because the Owner is not to cheap to hire help. If you look at the "layout" photo i posted, there is always anywhere between 5-7 guys behind the counter waited to take your order and personally MAKE IT!!! Love the service here. Always friendly and they always ask you if you need anything else. Food is great here. One of my favorite breakfast combo here is aptly dubbed "Muscle Man" ( 3 egg whites,onions, peppers ) w/ a side of turkey bacon and veggie tuna buttered cinnamon raisin bagel toasted and scooped out... Think about that next time you eat a raggedy bowl of cereal for breakfast.

Solid bagel place in the neighborhood. Bagels are fresh and offered in a variety of options (bagel thins). Usually busy on the weekends. My only complaint is that their toaster does not toast bagels as much as I would prefer.

We love this place! You can always depend on them for a fresh bagels. My favourite is the everything bagel, toasted with chicken salad!
