We took the Heart of the Village Tour in Greenwich Village/SOHO and LOVED It!!
It was our first time to NYC, and it was a fabulous introduction to the VIllage and all it's tasty food.
The food is not just a small sample either. Come HUNGRY~ Full servings of food are served. From the artichoke pizza, the Indian wraps, the macaroon ice-cream sandwiches, the Cuban empanadas and MUCH more! It was divine!!
Also, our tour guide, Susan Volchok was so personable, knowledgeable and fantastic. WE LOVE YOU SUSAN!!!!!!
I wish we did more food tours when we were there. But, there's so much to see and do, even a week didn't give us enough time.
Thank you, food of NY tours! You started our visit off right!!

Our group of 7 did the Greenwich Village Food Tour. Robin was our guide, and the experience was outstanding! Food was superb; Robin was fun, informative, entertaining and threw in some non-food trivia and history; restaurants we visited were welcoming. I highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting NYC who wants a taste of the local food life.

We did the Greenwich Village West tour, which was wonderful. Our tour guide Kurt was entertaining, knowledgeable and kind. We highly recommend this company and Kurt as a tour guide and are looking forward to do the other tours offered.

My Aunts and cousins did the Greenwich village food tour for a bachelorette party and it was wonderful!!! Everyone had a great time - we even went back to two of the places the next day!

It was a cold and rainy March Monday in New York when we embarked on the Original Greenwich Village Food and Culture Tour, but our enthusiasm wasn't dampened. It helped that our guide Bert was entertaining, knowledgeable and went above and beyond to ensure we experienced everything Greenwich Village had to offer, despite the weather.
The food was simply amazing, and the tastings gave everyone the opportunity to try something they normally wouldn't order (for me, it was the Farmer's Egg with Wild Rice Risotto and Maitake Mushroom at Home Restaurant, which ended up being a definite highlight). The tour lasts for 3 hours, with 8 different tastings and a great insight into the neighbourhood.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable way to spend a morning. I wouldn't hesitate to book another tour next time I'm visiting that side of the world and I highly recommend the tour to other travellers, whether they're a foodie or not.
