Fong's Restaurant

I've had much much better Chinese food in NY, but it was pretty good for Jersey, best I've had in Jersey so far actually, prices were a little steep, $4.50 for an order of fried wontons. I used get a dozen for half that in my old neighborhood in NY. Other than that can't complain, service was fast and counter person was polite.

Most importantly- Great food and good portions. I had General Tso's chicken and an order of (8) Fried dumplings. The to-go containers were solid, heavy plastic with a large cup of dumpling sauce. They put plenty of sauce and plastic ware in the bag, and give a free drink or egg roll with a purchase over $10. So, for $13.75, I got dinner and lunch. They do what allot of places do in this city, and that is they only accept cash but have an ATM in the lobby so they can keep their prices lower. Now the bad, the neighborhood is rough and some kids came in being so loud that they couldn't hear me through the bullet proof glass, so it took a minute to get my order in. I will eat here again, but make sure I get there before 6pm.

Best broccoli and beef. Lomein , boneless spare ribs, fried chicken is good. So far one of my favorite chinese restaurant here in newark.

Person who takes orders over the phone can't speak English and is very rude. Rushed me to place my order and was disrespectful while I was ordering. Kept putting me on hold .

This place is great. I just had some food from there and it was very good. The delivery time was excellent and their customer service was great. The person who takes the orders was very pleasent and professional. Overall, I was very pleased. I must admit I was a little skeptical trying this new place simply because I never have eaten there before and only heard of them through a flyer I recieved. However, I'm soooo glad I did. Great food and great service. A lot of neighborhood restauants have okay food and you usually have to go out of your way to get good authentic food but Fong's Restaurant makes simple dishes you've might of eaten hundreds of times taste brand new. I ordered orange chicken with pork fried rice and boneless spare ribs with pork fried rice and it tasted like I was in a higher scale restaurant. Fong's Restaurant is where I will be getting my Chinese food from now on. They rock all the way unlike Golden Dragon in Hillside NJ who has decent food BUT VERY VERY VERY HORRIBLE service. So go to Fong's Restaurant in Newark, NJ. I believe you will love it. I know I did.
