My husband and I went to look at one of Maureen's listings. She listed it on Zillow, and even showed it to have an "MLS" number.
The "MLS" number was bogus, and Anne (Maureen's Mom) showed up to show us the house, it all went bad fast.
We introduced ourselves, and our friend and agent. She became irate, and rude immediately. I have never in my life experienced such blatant disrespect and utter unprofessional-ism in my life!! (I've bought and sold SEVERAL pieces of real-estate)
What it all seemed to boil down to was that she was unwilling to "Share A Commission" with another agent and was furiously stating that I had to agree to pay my agent out of my own pocket in order to see in the house. You could see the amazing disrespect for her client at that point when she cared more about her money than to show the home to a prospective buyer!!
Through several minuets of a standoff and our agent and her going toe to toe, the owner and I came to an understanding that allowed for us to see the home. Much to my surprise, even then, through the whole tour, she was rude, and belligerent toward us and our agent.
I find it appalling and baffling how someone could act like this in front of a potential buyer and especially their client!! All because of a commission she would refuse to show her clients house?
We liked the house (sadly) and now must figure out what to do next. I have no inclination to support a Realtor that would act in such a manner. I feel bad for the homeowner. He was a nice guy. He didn't deserve this. We didn't deserve this. Nobody deserves this
