Such a bang for your buck!
I started here not really knowing what level of teaching to expect and I have to say that it has been an amazing experience. Israel, my spanish teacher in levels 1, 2 and part of 3, was really enthusiastic and structured. I felt at ease and never frustrated while in class as he really explained everything well and took his time working with each of us based on our needs and understanding. I unfortunately had to stop mid way through level 3 but am starting again with a new teacher and can't be more excited.
The staff at the Williamsburg location, in particular Lauren, has been so understanding and helpful with the switching of my classes. You will always be met with a smile there, trust me. Learn a new language, meet chill people and don't break the bank. That is all, carry on.

I took French 1, 2 & 3 at the WIlliamsburg location and it was a fantastic experience. My teachers were fun, creative and down to earth NY residents. I met other cool people in class and it was an awesome learning environment! I spoke some phrases over the years and tried to learn with apps and online classes but being in the classroom, fumbling through pronunciation with other aspiring Francophone's was are far better learning experience. When I felt unsure after French 2, both my teachers encouraged me to press on and I felt myself grow in the next level. I just returned from France last month and had a blast using my new skills. Highly recommended.

I took German 1 with Trev ahead of a big birthday trip to Germany this year. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I understood and could comprehend while I was over there. The biggest compliment was being mistaken for a local after ordering food :) Sure there were days when I couldn't make it to class but my teacher was always accessible and sent timely updates to our class with a class summary, which made it a lot easier to get up to speed. Look forward to taking German 2 soon!

I looked forward to my Spanish I class every Monday. Michael was an excellent teacher and managed students' varying abilities like a champ. Even outside of the classroom, I found myself listening to Spanish language radio and puzzling out newspaper articles for new vocabulary words. In addition to the language skills, I felt the class was also a great way to meet people after work. Our group got along well and several of us met up outside of class to practice more.

I just finished French Level 2 and am happily continuing on to Level 3 with the encouragement of Sam, my teacher. So many good things to say about his style, but the best thing that he does is he allows the students to wander down their own path of trying to figure out what to say - even if they don't have the vocabulary. Sam creates an environment where there is no fear of making mistakes - he is a gentle guide and makes learning entertaining and painless.
Textbooks are used as a supplement and English is rarely used. He stresses the importance of knowing verbs/vocabulary that one will actually use vs random words that show up in textbooks.
I've previously taken two levels of Spanish and the method of teaching was very similar - allowing students to discover rather than forcing them through rote exercise.
Now on to Portuguese...
