Christian and his Coworker were excellent. They did a fantastic job!.The move was very quick and efficient and they went above and beyond to make sure my move was smooth. I would highly recommend if you are in need of movers.

So far, my experience with FlatRate movers has been great! My first time using their services. James the representative for interstate moving was knowledgeable and straightforward with the estimate. I also appreciated his calling back to accommodate my short notice move. The movers Luis, Ricardo, and Carlos arrived on time and were able to pack and move all my household goods in rapid order. I was impressed with the care taken with fragile and delicate items. Just hoping that the unpacking is as smooth and painless.

Tyrone Johnson is an American Badass; he and his crew (Joshua and George) were so good at moving my head almost fell off when I saw them do what they do. They were power lifters, super tapers, ballet choreographers - as good with a set of crystal champagne flutes as they were with a king size oak bed frame. Nice as hell, too. Great with our toddler, sweet with our crazy Boston Terrier.

David the Estimator should make England proud. He was great too, best of the lot that were sent our way.

But Tyrone, Josh and George should each get a Medal of Merit. They packed and moved a 2 bedroom from Tribeca to Chelsea over two days, and the head doorman in Chelsea said that in seven years he had never seen a faster, smoother, more efficient move-in. Organization was incredible. Enormous upright piano was handled like bone china. The guys got a 20% tip and damn well earned it. If you go with FlatRate, (and you should), ask for Tyrone and his crew. Tip them well. I've not been so impressed with people in this city in a long, long time.

I cannot tell you how disappointed we are with the arrival of our personal belongings. As they were unloading the items we found boxes damp and actually saw tire tracks over some. We have no idea what they were, but have pictures. The extremely expensive fabric headboard that was unloaded was totally ruined as it should have been wrapped differently; badly water stained. We had to ask them to please take it out. Other boxes were wet including a couple filled with fine linens as well as my irreplaceable documents and files with work guides that I may not be able to get replaced as I am now in a different position. As we continue to try to make sense and empty boxes we are finding more that are filled with wet books and ruffley pages. We needed to try to open all boxes and see what kind of damage exists. Not only we we not recommend, we would discourage.

I reached out to this company as my boss was preparing for a move and required storage until he could find a new apartment. They responded very quickly and sent someone out the next day to meet with my boss at his home. All the things I read online lead me to believe that this was a company that handled luxury clients and moves regularly. However, after meeting with the consultant, my boss is pretty certain he won't be using them for his move. They told him that there are certain valuable items, like cameras and some such, that "may be best not left in storage", subtly suggesting that they may be stolen. Their website says they own and operate their storage facilities and that there is 24 hour security provided. How can you trust this company with moving your valuables if they're suggesting you cannot store you most expensive items with them? Super disappointed.
