My new favorite Thai restaurant in the area. Living in Secaucus, there's generally an influx of good restaurant options, with Hoboken, Jersey City, and NYC within a relatively close distance. However, there's no need to venture afar when Five Star Thai completely satiates the craving for well-cooked, decently spicy, authentic Thai food.

This intimate restaurant tucked away behind the Union City Post Office reminds us why we like Thai food. Tonight was the Vegetable Jungle Curry, Chicken in Peanut Curry, Shrimp Pad Thai, and Sticky Black Rice for dessert.
The kitchen puts as much thought into presentation of the take out dishes as they do the plates in the restaurant. They excite the visual as well as the palette.
The food is excellent but the prices are a bit high compared to other Thai restaurants. If you are thinking of plentiful inexpensive Asian food, think China.

Amazing Thai food and great consistency. Every single time we've been there, food has been as tasty as the previous time. Jungle curry (spicy, not for the faint hearted) with some fresh hot Brown rice has been my all time favorite here!

Pleasing, restful and delicious. This is a hidden gem, worth the visit every time. Staff is always friendly, hardly ever a wait, and the food is always fresh and flavorful. I've had almost every dish on the menu and each plate (and visit) was always a good experience.

The thom kha kai soup is the best thing I have ever eaten in my entire life. I'm not joking around. It is worth every cent. I would walk a million miles to get a bowl of this soup. Other then the soup, everything I have ever eaten from here, even bites of friend's meals, have been delicious. The waitstaff are all extremely lovely and the atmosphere of the restaurant is extremely sweet. I want to move in here. I wish I was a millionare so I could go to this place every day of my life.
