By far one of the worst fish stores I have ever been to, the quality of health for the fish in their store is terrible. Above that their customer service skills have consistently stayed bad since I first visited their store back in 2012. The general vibe I get EVERY TIME I've been in this store is "leave me alone". Pair that with an incompetent staff who have no knowledge of the fish they sell and exorbitant prices (that can easily be beaten by pretty much any fish place in flushing) and you have fishtown usa. The shame is that their selection of equipment and fish is pretty good, but the factors I listed above make this one of the worst fish stores in queens.

Nice selection of fish as well as everything you need for your fish tank. Staff are very helpful and always will give you a good advise on how to maintain a fish tank as well as take care of the fish in it.

I love these guys. I've been going here for close to 10 years. I have a 40 gallon tank with African Cichlids and they helped me keep it alive and running and were always there for me. Fishtown USA is filled with very knowledgable and helpful employees. Definitely worth going there. Better than any other fish store I've been too. They care about their fish and they care about you.

Good selection of both fresh and saltwater fish, plants and corals and pretty clean tanks. Fishtown can get in some pretty rare fish in the hobby and are healthy fish considering their wild caught. The only problems that fishtown has is the staff there have pretty bad attitudes and their prices on live fish are pretty expensive. They don't tell you prices of their stock on the phone and they sometimes just hang up on you in the middle of the conversation. But the staff are pretty knowledgeable about both fresh and saltwater and I think that they've been working there so long they just don't care about the hobby anymore and work there just for the money now. But sometimes you can get a fish with a disease or two there. I bought an opaline gourami there and put it in my gourami/dwarf cichlid display tank and shortly found out that it had an internal parasite which I was pretty pissed because I had to treat my main display for a few weeks. But I've been going there so long since I started the hobby about 2-3 years ago that the staff know me there and are pretty nice to me when I come in once a week to look at their new shipments in.
