First Presbyterian Church

The Church family is supportive and active in the community. I have been to many different churches throughout my life, however, by far, the First Presbyterian Church of Glen Cove is the one I enjoy the greatest.

These days it's difficult to find a place with like-minded people looking to do service in the community and to connect on a deeper spiritual level with fellow human beings. Pretty much the only place one can find this type of fellowship is Girl/Boy Scouts, Alcoholics Anonymous, or church. The fellowship at First Presbyterian Church is second to none. The folks who worship there are friendly and welcoming and always willing to lend a helping hand. This church houses the homeless during the winter months and is responsible for implementing the first recycling program in Glen Cove. This church doesn't just offer religious dogma and creeds. It promotes Christian values such as equality, peace, service, and compassion for all people. It is an open and affirming church, meaning that anyone can become a member regardless of race, creed, or sexual orientation. The church offers adult and youth Sunday school as well as a variety of opportunities for community service. Worship starts at 10am every Sunday.
