I give this place 1 star because of the cashiers. I've lived in the Bronx for 42 years, and the employees of the supermarkets in that borough are actually friendlier than here.
They seriously need to change management and re-train the employees. Customer service is nil, and the workers can be compared to the Walking Dead.
Guess they're sorry to have jobs at all. Must prefer being on welfare and sitting all day job hunting at an over-crowded.Back-to-Work holding pen.
Don't bother saying "thank you" to them. Treat them as they treat you: that they're not human beings and don't count. It's attitudes like these that can cause a place to run out of business. Only reason why it hasn't is because people are too lazy these days to walk somewhere else (and also too weak to make any complaints. They'll put up with anything as long as it's not white people running a place). It's like an over-sized bodega.
Fine Fare is too over-priced for this garbage. That's why I go someplace else unless there are good sales. And that's hardly ever. You can renovate a building, but you can't renovate jackasses.
UPDATE:
Be wary of some floor workers following customers around, even though the store has cameras. They try to single out certain people they think they can get over on. They won't meet your eyes when you glare at them.
My husband and I will no longer be going here. We don't need to waste our money for that kind of treatment.
So long, low life losers.
