Reviews to Ferry Street Barbecue
Quality food at reasonable prices. Português BBQ chicken and beef or pork ribs with fries and rice or salad. On the plus side you can bring your own beer or wine. On the minus side the Latina waitresses are overworked and it may take a while to get seated and to place your order and be served. They recently expanded into more space so the waiting may be less and the cost may be more.

Awesome food at unbelievable prices! Chicken and Salmon are cooked oin iron gate on the spot. Extremely tasty. Service may not be the best but food and price certainly worth the trouble! I worked few months across this place at that was our place de jure.

I've known Tony for over 10 years now. Nothing short of great food and exceptional service. I recommend going to Ferry St BBQ for lunch and/or dinner or if your just looking for a place to have some of the best Portuguese food in Ironbound.

This is hands down one of the tastiest places I've ever eaten at in Newark. This isn't meant for luxury, this is meant for amazing food at an amazing price in the heart of downtown Newark.
The servers have a nasty face, but you try working 5 ft away from an open fire pit 12 hours a day and see how your attitude will be.
The owner is the MAN and always accommodates. I highly suggest you go here when it's nice out and grab a table outside. They recently expanded and fit more customers now.

RUDE!!I come to the iron bound all the time to eat. I'm an international traveler so I can say I'm a foodie and know good service when I see it. There was a small older white man who was helping to serve and take orders, I ordered my food to go and at the last minute my sister said she would join me so when it came I said I will stay to eat instead. The man said I couldn't stay because I already made a to go order. The spot is a dive not upscale at all the place is full of smoke like the vents don't work, you leave smelling like you were cooking bbq for 12 hours. They mix pork and chicken on the same cutting board. Any way besides looking like they don't clean the cooking area, when I said I wanted to stay they kicked me out. Poor service you get no stars.
