Fay Da Bakery

Fay-Da is located in front of the Forest Hill's South Queens subway exit, perfect for commuters to grab coffee and a light breakfast during the morning rush.

+ The bread is FRESH. The Switzerland bread, glazed in syrup, is my favorite. Delicious EVERY TIME. Also, try the variety of steamed buns (sweet potato and vegetable pork).
+ Even though the line is backed-up, you will check out in less than 2 minutes. It moves quick!

- Napoleon pastry - I ordered a full Napoleon pastry cake which was stale and not as fresh. Avoid. Cannot comment on other pastries, but to be safe, try the pastry first before buying the whole cake.
- Plastic Trays - Would be nice if there were paper sheets on the trays. It's unpleasant and unsanitary to see remnants of bread crumbs and smeared cream on the trays. Hopefully it's cleaned often.

This location is much better than the ones in Flushing for whatever reason.

It's clean, the products are fresh and the service friendly. There is usually a seat.

Maybe not as good Tai Pan in terms of quality of their product, but certainly the best Fay Da that I've been to, and a nice addition to this neighborhood.

Their prices are the same as the Flushing locations also. They didn't just go and mark everything up in price because it's located in a higher income neighborhood.

Great taro bun, good bubble tea.

Better waiting spot than Starbucks. They have coffee and available seats.

Fay Da is fast, cheap and absolutely delicious. I find myself getting breakfast from Fay Da at least once a week; I may be addicted to the pork roll. This is a great place to stop on the way to work or on the weekend.
