I contracted Fastway Moving to manage moving my household stuff from CT to OR. Their folks came and packed/ wrapped my furniture and picked up my boxes on the scheduled date. The horror began when they came to deliver my stuff. They broke my son's crib, badly scratched a side table that they wrapped so poorly that it arrived without any wrapping, broke 2 out of 4 dining table chairs mainly because when the packed they didn't do that poorly, badly scratched the foot of the dining table, chipped off corners of my king bed. And the worst of all being they completely misplaced 2 back cushions of my 900 USD sofa bed which forms the entire backrest - rendering the furniture useless. I have made at least 3 to 4 calls till now and all they have promised me is to look into it and call back (which never happened) and file a claim, knowing very well that my loss will far exceed any reimbursements.
And that's not all. The driver brought and unloaded 1 box of clothes and 2 pieces of furniture that didn't belong to me. I believe my alertness in sending them back might have saved someone significant financial loss but it speaks volumes of the kind of work Fastway does. In addition the driver forgot my TV first time and had to go back and get it which took 5 extra hours. As a result the delivery which started in the morning lasted till midnight. He brought a helper who was supposed to unpack all the stuff while he was getting the TV but the helper left after 20 mins hardly after doing anything and without letting us know that he was leaving. We unpacked most of the stuff ourselves as it was getting very late.
In the end the driver insisted on me signing off on the delivery form that everything was done well and mention all the damages in a separate white sheet which he said he will sign on. He was visibly unhappy when I refused to do that saying I was being unprofessional and making him look bad.
Based on my experience I would strongly discourage anyone form using Fastway.
