I love Denise at Fancy Feathers. I got my bird there 3 years ago and couldn't be happier. When I go away on vacation I know he has a great palce to stay while I am gone.

i walked in clueless on how to raise my new 3 birds, but Denise was very helpful and walked me through it all.
She gave me a tour in her small bird shop and explained everything and answered all my questions.
She was so kind and caring enough to clean them up and checked them all on the spot.
Great Service - Great prices - all with Care!.

In May 2013 I purchased a love bird from Denise at Fancy Feathers in Caldwell, NJ. She sold me this bird for my 14 year old son. She told me the bird's hatch date was March 13. I fell instantly in love with the bird. Several months later the bird began displaying paralysis and could no longer perch. It fell of the cage several times and began getting very sick. I took it to a Aviary Vet and was told that the bird needed to be tested for known viruses. I spent $450.00 on a $150 bird only to find out the worst. The bird had a fatal virus called POLYOMAVIRUS and it would eventually kill it. I called Denise and asked her if any of the other owners had called her to tell her that their lovebirds were dying and she told me she got rid of the birds because her Vet recommended that she no longer sell lovebirds because they could carry this virus and several of her other baby birds had already died. I asked her why she did not do proper vaccinations on these baby birds before she sold them and she blamed the breeder but would not tell me who the breeder was. She told me it would cost too much money to get her birds vaccinated or tested for this virus. I asked her to please reimburse my money for the bird and she said absolutely not. I told her I was going to sue her in small claims court and she hung up on me. My beautiful lovebird suffered a horrific death on November 8, 2013. He suffered terribly and my son and my entire family are broken hearted. Lovebirds have a life expectancy of approx. 15 years and my bird lasted 8 months. Fancy Feathers completely misrepresented the bird and would not take any responsibility for not vaccinating their birds before they sell them. Horrible. I have since visited Birdhouse on Rt. 18 in East Brunswick, NJ and they vaccinate all their birds before they sell them as well as send you home with proper paperwork and guarantees. Shame on you Fancy Feathers. I will never do business with you again.

Great bird shop. Bought a nice cockatiel for my kids. Owner really loves her birds and raises the birds in the shop to be very sociable.
Has cages, feed, and provide bird care for extended vacations too
