This review was actually written by my 80 year old step mother. I am posting it for her with the hopes that her trips to this store will cease to be a threat to her safety.
I noticed as I entered the building a large, rather deep puddle of water gathering at the exit door, making it impossible for customers and staff to leave the store without walking through the water. The structural flooring damage at the exit is super dangerous... I reported this to a gentleman whom I was told was in charge. Water was mopped up from the puddle and a large broken down cardboard box was placed there to cover the area. As I exited the large puddle of rain water collecting again and the card board box created yet another dangerous trip hazard situation.
The floor is so deteriorated that even when dry it is dangerous I have noticed this flooring damage for close to a year now, but the rain has given me impetus to register a complaint to corporate. It may be a franchise, but law suits tend to reach corporate as well, and I thought someone should know of this at corporate head quarters.
My billing amount was $80.18. I shop there because it's reasonable and convenient. I usually ignore the always crowded aisles with unpacked stock piled high on carts. but today the fear of falling was too great not to make someone at corporate aware of the danger at the exit door, and in the aisles. The minimal staff is always friendly and helpful and my community loves having the store in the neighborhood. However, the safety of the customer in the building should be tantamount.
If nothing else...
I would hope someone there at corporate will be able to point out to this franchisee that safety is a first rule of business, and get the flooring situation corrected.
